Jackie started her career with a large building society and was involved in client servicing as well as many aspects of lending and saving, training and managing others, gaining a wide and varied knowledge of many aspects of savings and mortgages. After 22 years' service, she left when administration relocated to Bristol, and she then moved to a local IFA practice where she first met Peter and Tony. She joined them at Baker Davies in 2001, when they were based in the centre of Poole.
Jackie knows the firm well, having performed various roles over the years as the business expanded. She was involved in setting up the back office database system now in use for all clients, and was involved in training other staff in the use of the database. After a short break, Jackie returned to join the new team in early 2011 as a Client Account Manager, as this gives her the client contact she enjoys.
What do you enjoy about your role at Baker Davies?
"I love liaising with clients and product providers and helping people get the information they need. I believe that customer service is of paramount importance and prefer working in a smaller organisation, where I can see a job through from start to finish and where I get to know the people I deal with. With recent changes in the financial services industry, every day brings a new challenge, and we all try to work together to streamline and simplify changes in procedures which affect our clients."
Hobbies and interests
Jackie has always had a keen interest in cars and gardening. She enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her partner's grandchildren.
